The Lithuanian Foundation was officially incorporated on March 14, 1962, as an independent, donor governed, non-profit financial corporation, whose only goal was to maintain the Lithuanian culture. By 1974, the Lithuanian Foundation surpassed its first million dollar goal and attracted almost 4,000 members. From the Foundations establishment to the year 2014, more than 15 million dollars was distributed for the support of the Lithuanian culture and additional $1,354,462 to Lithuania for the support of education and culture. The Foundation aims to increase its presence in Lithuania and invites Lithuanians to familiarize themselves more with the grants and scholarships of the foundation, as well as becoming members. Moreover, the Foundation is open to proposals of Lithuanian business and would be eager to discuss the top charitable financing priorities of the country and possible partnerships to reach those goals.
