On July 3-4, 2014, Vilnius University hosted 3rd Lithuanian Academic Conference in Economics. 15 economists coming from top US, European, Asian and Australian academic institutions presented their recent academic work in marketing, finance, labor economics, health economics, econometrics and other fields of economics. The event was preceded by a PhD workshop where Prof. Ron Masulis from University of New South Wales provided advice to young economists on successful research strategies. Prof. Ron Masulis also delivered keynote speech of the conference where he talked on the corporate governance issues surrounding the workings of board of directors. This year’s conference was organized by the Network of Lithuanian Research Economists and supported by Bank of Lithuania. The next meeting of economists in Vilnius is planned for July, 2015, with the call for papers to be distributed in early March.
