Mr. Bernota’s experience includes senior business development and general management assignments ranging from complete turnarounds to regional market expansions, including full P&L responsibilities. He has worked extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. Peter J. Bernota is currently Vice President at Swiss Post Solutions in Washington, DC. Part of the global Swiss Post group, SPS is a leading provider of solutions for the strategic outsourcing of business processes and document processing services worldwide. Mr. Bernota was previously Client Operations Director at Xerox specializing in the legal vertical and was responsible for delivering enterprise managed services and optimization for one of the world’s largest international law firms. Mr. Bernota was also previously CFO of MicroFinance International Corporation, providing leadership in operations, administration, business planning, accounting, budgeting and risk management. Prior to joining MFIC, Mr. Bernota was Director of Market Development for the State of Delaware Economic Development Office, representing the State’s interests in biotechnology, chemicals and advanced materials, manufacturing, health sciences, tourism and financial services. Mr. Bernota’s finance background includes brokerage and advisory in international and technology investments as a General Securities Principal on Wall Street and in Annapolis, MD. His early experience is in security and risk management for the headquarters of many Fortune 500 clients including IBM, Xerox and a number of foreign embassies and missions to the U.S. He was formerly Corporate Director of Security for Cartier. A former U.S. Army Reserve Airborne Infantry officer, his military experience includes command of infantry, headquarters and civil affairs units. Mr. Bernota holds a Bachelors degree in Journalism from Marquette University (USA) and a joint Masters in International Management from Boston University (USA) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium.) He is a graduate of the 59th International Banking Summer School (Australia.)
