Global Lithuanian Awards | GLA acknowledged and rewards the remarkable achievements of Lithuanian diaspora professionals and their contribution to the economy, science and culture of Lithuania as well as its global standing. The Awards are organised from annually since 2012. President Gitanas Nausėda is a Patron of the Awards. They are organised in colaboration with Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, national broadcaster LRT and law firm Triniti Jurex.
Major annual winter event of diaspora professionals to exchange ideas, insights, connections, and inspiration. Usually held on a day of Global Lithuanian Awards, GLL Forum draws 250+ participants from 20+ countries as well as Lithuanian public and private sector. The event includes keynotes and workshops on Talent Attraction, engagement of scientists within the diaspora and other hot topics.
Entrepreneurs, business executives, public policy experts, human rights activists, and alike meet for a sunny summer afternoon in Vilnius to exchange ideas, strengthen connections and build joined efforts. A shared vision of open, competitive, and internationally acclaimed Lithuania is what drives them together. GLL facilitates collaboration and promotes the expansion of the network of the Lithuanian clubs of professionals abroad. Currently, GLL connects 25+ clubs worldwide. The facilitation includes monthly online meetings, record tracking, and annual live meetings, usually held in September in a differents city worldwide. They encourage the establishment of new clubs, tackle the most critical financial and operational sustainability issues, and create opportunities for live networkings.

As the pandemic disturbs traditional education processes, GLL along with Lithuanian learning innovation enthusiasts set off to empower technology to reboot the Lithuanian education system. Led by Business for Peace Award laureate GLL Board member Vladas Lašas, a new EdTech Lithuania initiative was kicked-off and shaped during the GLL Gathering 2020: Learning Fever on September 17th, 2020 in the Presidential Palace and online. GLL partnered up with Swedbank to launch an open online database of women professionals Profesionalės.lt, with the goal of increasing the share of voice of women in the public debate formed by the Lithuanian media and event organizers.
