Global Lithuanian Leaders United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lithuania, Kaunas College, Mykolas Romeris University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Vilnius University and Vilnius College/University of Applied Sciences and Global Lithuanian Leaders | GLL have established International Internships Platform at national level. Organizations and companies from abroad are invited to join the initiative. The aim of it is to provide Lithuanian undergraduates/graduates with real-life work experiences to: a) back up their studies, b) provide them with international profile for advancement of their early careers and c) contribute to “brain circulation”.
UNDP Lithuania is well positioned to support national higher education institutions in building connections with international partners. UNDP offers personalized assistance in setting up and managing sponsored by the Lithuanian Government students’ internships and academic staff training visits.
International Internships Platform is looking for organisations/companies interested in pursuing a bilateral cooperation programme with regard to internships and receiving the most talented pre-selected interns from Lithuania. The priority would be given to students studying social sciences and humanities however after mid-2013 the national system should accommodate all other study programmes.
