Lithuania’s President Dalia Grybauskaite during her working visit to France met with representatives of the Lithuanian community who work in Paris. Lithuania-affiliated professionals in banking, finance, bio-tech, telecoms, consulting business and other industries, having joined into an informal business club, share their business experience with Lithuania and strengthen Lithuania-France bilateral economic and cultural ties, reported BC the presidential press service.

Lithuanian professionals with international experience in many countries around the world are uniting into the Global Lithuanian Leaders (GLL) network contributing with their experience, knowledge and contacts to Lithuania’s success in various spheres.

The President invited Lithuanian communities in France and worldwide to actively contribute to promoting the name of Lithuania during its EU Council Presidency. According to the President, the input of each and every citizen of our country is very important for Lithuania today when it is taking the helm of the EU Presidency.

“Let’s each of us, wherever we are, do everything we can that Lithuania’s name is pronounced with pride. It depends on us all what Lithuania Europe and the world will see and feel. Lithuania – at the helm of the EU Council – will be in the focus of Europe’s attention for the next six months. Let’s make it yet another opportunity to introduce our country and capabilities of our people to the world,” the President said.

Tomorrow, Dalia Grybauskaite will meet with French President Francois Hollande to discuss Lithuania’s EU Presidency agenda and priorities, Lithuania-France cooperation in the EU and NATO, and prospects for advancing bilateral relations.
