In January, 2015 GLL joined the international project initiated by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (Lietuvos pramonininkų konfederacija) “GRADual: Increasing Students/ Graduates Employment Readiness” financed through the tools of Erasmus+ , Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices and Strategic Partnerships. It brought together the widest corporate network Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, biggest Lithuanian universities (Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Kaunas Technological University, Vytautas Magnus University, Klaipėda University), Saltire Foundation (SF) in Scotland, Fundacion Universidad Empresa (FUE) in Spain and Global Lithuanian Leaders (GLL) as the network of international Lithuanian professionals with experience in two mentorship programs: LT Big Brother and GLL Business Advisors.

In April, Madrid hosted the second transnational meeting of all partners with intention to share the experience of internship and mentorship programs already run by each partner, to identify their advantages and shortcomings, to brainstorm and select best ideas for the guidelines to be executed under this project. The sessions were very productive as they consolidated / systemized the Lithuanian practices and received critical evaluation from international partners who have been active in this area for decades. In addition, the hosting organization FUE invited the experts in European law, youth (un)employment and integration, and asked former interns to share their experience in large hosting companies under different internship programs.

The next transnational meeting is planned for October and will be hosted by Scottish partners in Glasgow. By then, the draft guidelines will be prepared and presented for assessment and evaluation by the partners and experts in Scotland.
